The value for money at this hotel was excellent, with spacious and clean rooms. The location was perfect, being close to the train station and away from the hustle and bustle of Hallstatt. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.

The menu for breakfast could be improved with a wider variety of dishes.

I stayed at Obertrauner Hof for 3 nights and it was the perfect base for exploring the Salzkammergut region. The location was fantastic, with easy access to the train station and the attractions of the area. The beach at Strandbad Obertraun was just a short walk away, and the views from the top floor room were incredible. The room itself was spacious and clean, and the breakfast selection was impressive. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hallstatt!

I had a fantastic stay in this lovely hotel. The cleanliness was impressive, with both the bedroom and bathroom being spotless. The hotel facilities were great, with a powerful shower and a convenient brew kit stand. The location was excellent, close to the beautiful lake and just a short walk away from the bus and train stations. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were helpful and pleasant. Additionally, there was a restaurant nearby that served excellent food, and a supermarket just across the street.

The location of this hotel is unbeatable, just a short distance away from the town center and easily reachable. The surrounding area is absolutely breathtaking, with majestic mountains and beautiful lakes that will leave you in awe. The Austrian dinners at the small restaurants are not only reasonably priced but also incredibly delicious. Whether you're looking for an active or relaxing vacation, you can find both around Obertraun and Hallstatt. The hosts and locals are incredibly friendly and helpful, and English is widely spoken. The free Wi-Fi in public areas, electric kettle, and kitchen utensils were definitely a plus. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend this place for a memorable stay.

As women traveling alone, we felt very welcome and comfortable at this small European-style bed & breakfast inn. The owner was friendly and helpful, giving us directions and tips. They even arranged for us to have breakfast earlier than usual to accommodate our train schedule. The location was perfect, with beautiful mountain views and in a semi-rural neighborhood. We were within walking distance of a grocery store, restaurants, tourist information center, and a swimming beach on the lake. The innkeeper also provided us with information about the area and access to refrigerators for our picnic supplies. It was easy to explore the tourist areas on foot or by public transportation, without actually staying in the busy tourist areas. We will definitely stay longer next time to fully enjoy all the amenities and activities offered.

our stay at obertrauner hof was exceptional! during our golf trip, the hotel went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. from the spacious and comfortable room with a balcony to the excellent wifi connection, everything was perfect. we especially appreciated the personalized table numbers for breakfast and the thoughtful boiled eggs to take away. highly recommend!

Obertrauner Hof is super clean and comfortable with a great view of the mountains from the balcony. It's conveniently located close to the train station and offers local insights for exploring the area. The service is top-notch - with helpful and friendly staff.
